Hmm. I guess some Paramount producer or someone thought that the slashy man-on-man subtext in TOS wasn’t enough, so in The Motion Picture they had to make Spock use a “THRUSTER” to “PENETRATE” an “ORIFICE” that is essentially an enormous, mechanical space-butthole. Just in case anyone missed those bedroom eyes the boys are always making at each other, they had to go ahead and make it explicit!
